Renault, under Daniel Ricciardo, showed impressive improvements this season. He scored a couple of podium finishes for the team, and young Esteban Ocon stepped up with a P2 finish at Sakhir Grand Prix.

Renault have fallen down to the P5 position from P3 on constructors standing. A double podium by Racing Point and impressive finishes by Sainz over the last few races have made the P3 position for Renault really difficult. However, there are 44 points still on the table and they are 24 points off P3. They will go to the season finale and fight to climb positions on the championship standings.
