The Brazilian Grand Prix is done and dusted with Lewis Hamilton taking the chequered flag. What makes things even better for the Mercedes driver is that he won the prestigious Driver of the Day award.

The Knight won Driver of the Day with  36 percent of the votes. It wasn’t a surprise to see the 7-times world champion win Driver of the Day, as he displayed a spectacular drive at Interlagos on Sunday afternoon.

An amazing drive displayed by Lewis Hamilton

The Knight was given a 5-place grid penalty for changing a component in his engine. But, that didn’t stop the 7-times world champion from pushing himself to the limit.

As soon as the lights went out at the Brazilian Grand Prix, Lewis threw everything at his rivals, and his gamble paid off. Soon, Hamilton found himself leading the pack of drivers around Interlagos after starting the race in tenth place. With the chequered flag being waved by Rebeca Andrade, a gold medalist in Gymnastics will surely make his one hundredth and one win in Formula One even sweeter.

By displaying such a great performance, it will surely boost the morale of the Mercedes‘ garage. With three races remaining till the end of the season, they hope that Hamilton can push himself to the limit and win his eighth title in Formula One

One of the interesting things about Formula One is the interaction it creates with its fans. An aspect that a die-hard fan looks forward to is voting for DotD.
