He is an inspiration to millions of people around the world, especially to young athletes. During the 2021 Qatar Grand Prix, Hamilton used a special rainbow-colored helmet. The formula one driver’s helmet features a prominent pride flag on the top and “We Stand Together” message instead of his usual ‘Still I Rise’ slogan.

“Me just wearing this helmet isn’t gonna change the world. But I hope that whether its kids here are more aware of it, kids back home are more aware of the scenarios in these places. Maybe kids back home in England will be studying it more at school and learning more about inclusivity, “ said Hamilton on wearing the rainbow-colored helmet.

One of those inspired is young Dakota Tucker, a 9-year-old cyclist dreaming of becoming a professional cyclist in the future. She wore Hamilton’s Qatar GP replica helmet during her European Cycling final.
