In the world of sports, game recognizes game. That was the exact case with Verstappen at the United States Grand Prix. The Red Bull prodigy was praised by Dutch footballer, Van Dijk and in return, Max praised him as Liverpool thrashed United.
Being told that Van Dijk praised him, Verstappen replied, “Yeah yeah totally destroyed Man United. Great defense you know.”

The Dutchman extends his lead in the championship
The Red Bull prodigy already had a 6-point lead in the title race against Lewis Hamilton and was hoping to extend it further. The 24-year-old was true to his word, as he won the race from start to finish at the Circuit of the Americas.
As it stands, the 6-point lead has been turned into the 12-point lead in the driver’s championship. Hamilton will be hoping to bounce back at the upcoming Mexican Grand Prix, with the aim of turning the tables in the championship. Meanwhile, Max will aim to grab another win for his Milton-Keynes-based squad this season.
