However, the Australian driver has warned his younger teammate against indulging in intra-team rivalries. Both Ricciardo and Ocon are no strangers to intra-team clashes, with Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen respectively. Ocon raced in Formula 1 from mid 2016 to the end of 2018. After a stint with Manor, he moved to Force India alongside Perez. Unfortunately, he and Perez often clashed with each other several times. It even got to a stage where the team forbade them from racing each other. With this in mind, Daniel Ricciardo has urged Ocon to put the team first above his own selfish desires. Admittedly, Ricciardo is one to talk because he has also clashed with Max Verstappen when they were teammates at Red Bull. Interestingly, Ricciardo likened Ocon’s arrival at Renault to Verstappen’s arrival at Red Bull in 2016. However, the 30-year old is determined to show Esteban Ocon who is the boss. “I had a bit of a taste at Red Bull when Max came in as the hot new property and me being the established guy, so it’s not new to me,” he said. “I know if he starts beating me, that becomes the narrative, but I’m not looking into that too much. Until he starts beating me, I have every opportunity to beat him, so I’m going to do what I can to make sure I’m the one.” This will be an important season for Renault as they hunt for 4th place in the championship. Renault’s biggest rivals are McLaren who took Best of the Rest honours.

<h2><strong>Esteban Ocon 2021: Net Worth, Salary, and Endorsements</strong></h2>
Esteban Ocon got the short end of the stick at the end of the 2018 season. The Frenchman took up karting in 2006 and only progressed from there.

In 2012, he joined the Formula Renault 2.0 Championship and raced there for two years. Then, in 2014, he went up to the Formula Renault 3.5 series for two races. In the same year, he raced in the European Formula 3 championship. Also, he was appointed as the test driver for Lotus F1.

A year later, he joined the GP3 Series and became a test driver for Sahara Force India. Finally, in 2016, he got his big break when he was called up by the Manor team to replace Indonesian driver <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_Haryanto">Rio Haryanto</a>.

For the next two years, Ocon partnered with <a href="https://www.essentiallysports.com/tag/sergio-perez/">Sergio Perez</a> at Force India, later renamed to Racing Point.
<h2><strong>On-track Achievements</strong></h2>
In his first season in European Formula 3, he proved his mettle straightaway by grabbing a podium in the first race. He followed it up with a win in the next race. From Race 2 in Hockenheim, he registered a podium streak of eight races. Overall, he won the championship with nine wins and 12 podiums.

In GP3, he took the championship again and he did not finish lower than 7th. Ocon bagged one win and 13 podiums on his way to the title, beating Luca Ghioto.

Coming to Ocon's F1 stint, he had a record 27-race finishing streak. Sadly, it was broken in Brazil 2017 after <a href="https://www.essentiallysports.com/tag/romain-grosjean/">Romain Grosjean</a> collided with him. He went on to finish 8th in the 2017 championship.

In 2018, he ended the season in 12th place and his performance was not enough to warrant a seat anywhere. Fortunately, Mercedes snapped him up and made him their reserve driver.

After a year away from F1, Ocon is back at Renault. For the 2021 F1 season, he will drive with F1 Champion <a href="https://www.essentiallysports.com/tag/fernando-alonso/">Fernando Alonso</a>. The Renault F1 team is rebranded as the Alpine F1 team.

The French driver achieved his best F1 performance at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, where he finished in 2nd position.
