F1 legend Sebastian Vettel took part in the 2022 Race of Champions in Sweden. He teamed up with his friend and fellow F1 driver Mick Schumacher to form team Germany in the Nations Cup team competition. Talking about the team event, 7 time ROC winner Sebastian Vettel alongside Schumacher couldn’t advance to the semi-finals after being handed defeat by American duo Jimmie Johnson and Colton Herta.
Vettel has enjoyed a highly successful stint with great Michael Schumacher winning 6 consecutive team titles from 2007 to 2012. However, this year came down a bit harsh on the German team. Vettel, however, made a positive stride in the individuals’ event. The 2015 champion went head-on with Sebastien Loeb in the finals but the 9-time World Rally Champion pipped Vettel to become the 2022 ROC champion.
While walking to the track ahead of the final, Vettel cheekily remarked to Loeb saying, “May the best Seb win”. The race was done and the two drivers joined the post-race celebrations which turned into a funny moment for fans to cherish.

Sebastian Vettel hilarious post-race event in RoC Sweden
4-time world champion and 53 Grand Prix winner Sebastian Vettel knows a thing or two about opening champagne after victory. However, that certainly didn’t help him during the ROC event. Though it has been a dry spell for Vettel in F1, he reached the podium twice in the 2021 season as well. However, the one in Budapest got stripped from him due to infringement of fuel regulations.
As a tradition, Vettel and Loeb received their bottles of champagnes after the race for the celebrations. Fans expect the German star to find his way around the cork and bottle but that wasn’t the case here. While Loeb took some time to open the bottle, Vettel hilariously failed to do it.
Now, Seb being the character he is, after multiple attempts when the bottle failed to open, he started throwing snow in the air instead. After which, Loeb handed over his bottle to fellow Seb. Find the video of the incident below.
