With the weather looming heavy over the Hungaroring, many predicted plenty of drama. To an extent, they were right, but what they did not expect was for the drama to kick off before the lights went out. While on his way to the grid, Max Verstappen fell afoul and slid into the barriers.

The good news is that there was no major damage, but the bad news is that it gives Red Bull a headache before the race. As it turned out, Verstappen broke the front left corner and his front wing. This could spell his doom for the Dutchman because if his suspension is compromised, he could potentially miss the race.

Red Bull managed to rescue Max Verstappen

However, the Red Bull team must have cracked open a special case of the energy drink because the team went into overdrive and managed to fix the car with 20 seconds to spare. The left front of the car got repaired in double time and they got a job well done.

Many are aware that the race will remain a wet one because the track is already soaked to the bone. To make matters more complicated, there is a chance for more rain.

The weekend was bad enough for Red Bull already having trudged through a poor qualifying session that saw Alex Albon getting knocked out in Q2 and Verstappen qualifying 7th.
