A couple ended their wedding ceremony with the good news of Hamilton’s Brazilian GP victory. Setting the standards high for Formula 1 fans, the hard-core Hamilton fans ensured Lewis’ presence for their big day as well. A cardboard cutout of the Brit (complete with a bowtie) graced the wedding ceremony.

They were celebrating two big moments at once! Although, the couple soon revealed their allegiance to another driver as well. Marking the occasion in true Daniel Ricciardo style, there was, of course, champagne in shoes.

Best weekend ever for Lewis Hamilton
It was a moment worth pausing for as Hamilton gave an absolutely blinding performance on Sunday. The faith the couple had in their driver paid off in multiples. The driver himself hailed his 101st win, the best of his career.
And rightly so. Against all odds, Hamilton fought hard and lived up to his motto: “still we rise”. Truly, a defining moment of Hamilton as a world champion. Emulating his hero, Ayrton Senna, in his hometown, Hamilton did the race justice.

The victor said, “This has definitely been one of the best weekends, if not the best weekend, I have experienced in my whole career.” The trials along the way made it special for Hamilton.
As positive as always, Hamilton reflected on a weekend where the odds were against him. “It’s easy to get down when you are faced with difficult things like penalties and engine penalties. But everyone just stayed positive, everyone has done such a great job. The mechanics did a fantastic job. And the strategy also was solid… But did I think we could come from last… I didn’t know what was possible but I just gave it everything.”

Although Mercedes and their champion swam against the tide, the victory in Brazil proved the team’s resilience. The championship is coming to an end in three rounds, and Hamilton has made it clear that he is far from throwing in the towel.
