In terms of radio chatter, Kimi Raikkonen is the funniest driver, with Fernando Alonso close behind. However, if there was a full podium, Sebastian Vettel would take the final slot. Often on his radio rants, he unknowingly utters something that leaves fans in hysterics.

One such example is the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, where Vettel duelled with Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian performed one of his classic dive-bombs and forced Vettel to take avoiding action. Vettel proceeded to scream into the radio, “If I don’t avoid that, he’s just going straight for my car! Honestly, what are we doing here? Racing or ping pong?”

During one of his Twitch streams, Leclerc took a stab at his Ferrari teammate. The Monegasque driver mimicked the German driver’s famous radio message.

Admittedly though, the 2020 season is on ice, which explains Leclerc’s increased presence on Twitch. He has even joked about trying to convince his older teammate to give Twitch a chance. Unfortunately, he did not know whether Vettel even owns a PlayStation device.

However, the 4-time world champion does have his own hobbies, and he has a family to take care of. Both drivers and the rest of the grid realise that the entire world is in a delicate situation. With the lockdown in place, Charles Leclerc and a few other drivers are turning to the virtual world.

Even Formula One chose to host a Virtual F1 series in place of the absent real-life F1 races. While some drivers like Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris and others, participate. The rest of the grid are off doing their own thing and waiting out the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is also worth noting that Formula One is facing a risk of not racing at all in 2020. Race venues are dropping off the calendar like flies and the calendar is almost halved. However, F1 is determined to kick off the season sometime this year. The good news is that the Red Bull Ring in Austria is willing to let the race go ahead, albeit behind closed doors. However, there is a cloud of doubt over the remaining races.
