The much-anticipated F1 race weekend in Australia finally began with the Friday Practice sessions, which were mainly dominated by Charles Leclerc. Further, the Ferrari man attended the official press conference on Friday morning, where he welcomed Sebastian Vettel with his classic and famous wink.

The four-time world champion missed the first two races of the season because of testing positive for COVID-19. But Seb is back for the Australian GP and even appeared at the official press conference. Further, Pierre Gasly, Nicholas Latifi, homeboy Daniel Ricciardo and former Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc were also there alongside Seb.

Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel drove for Ferrari in 2019 and 2020. And during this time, they both managed to build a great bond between them. So, the young Monegasque driver was delighted to see his former teammate back in the paddock. Leclerc welcomed Seb with a wave that was followed by a brotherly fist bump. And eventually, Leclerc gave his iconic wink to the German veteran.

Charles Leclerc is ‘not so comfortable’ in the ‘fast’ F1-75

The 24-year-old has kept his dominance even in Australia. Charles Leclerc has been quick in all the 3 practice sessions. He even outperformed the reigning world champion Max Verstappen, as he out-qualified him in Bahrain and Jeddah.

The Maranello base arguably has the best car this season along with a very strong driver lineup, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. However, the F1-75 might not be as comfortable as it is fast.

After the Friday Practice, Leclerc shared the 2022 Ferrari challenger is fast, but he experiences little porpoising during the straight. But he also backed his team and stated that he is here for a fast car and not for a comfortable car. Leclerc reported, “For now it is not too much of a limitation lap time-wise, it’s just for the comfort on the straight it’s not so comfortable. But I’m not here to have a car that is comfortable, I’m here to have a fast car and for now it’s looking good.”

Leclerc so far had a phenomenal season, winning the season opener at Bahrain and then finishing second in Saudi Arabia. The Ferrari driver is among the favorites this season to win the championship. Let’s see if Charles Leclerc can bag his second race win this season at the Albert Park Circuit this Sunday.
