Charles Leclerc has arguably been the best driver since the start of the 2022 season. He took Pole and won the Bahrain Grand Prix while he finished second behind Max Verstappen in a close battle in Saudi Arabia. Leclerc heading to a country where he has never won before and also never stood on the podium as well. But Melbourne is a spot for one of his most iconic moments in F1 till now.

While he was gearing up for his first race in Formula One in 2018, Charles was asked to hold the snake around his neck at a media event. The then Sauber driver was visibly horrified by the experience and nervously put the snake on his neck. The moment became a meme and has been used frequently on social media.
Charles Leclerc warns Mercedes and Red Bull ahead of Australia
The Ferrari driver is visibly confident this season before the Australian Grand Prix. He even hinted that there is more to come from the SF-75 at the Albert Park circuit this weekend.
It is unclear whether the Italian team would bring any upgrades to Melbourne or just make a bit of a tweak to their car.
“I feel good in general, but there’s definitely more to come. The thing I’m happy about is not really the performance but that I know exactly where I still need to work, and what I need to improve to unlock more performance,” said Leclerc.

“Whether it will be enough or not to win the World Championship, I have no idea. It’s still very early on in the season, but let’s say that it’s a very good start to the season,” said Leclerc.
It would be interesting to see if Charles can not stop his first podium in Melbourne this weekend. The Australian Grand Prix is the first Test of his championship credentials as he has a battle on his hands against Max Verstappen.
