During his latest Twitch stream, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc surprised plenty of viewers with a bit of cosplay. Apparently, the Monegasque driver donned a banana costume and wore is for the entire duration of the stream.

Apparently, he was quite fond of the banana skin on Fortnite, so a fan sent him the actual costume. Evidently, he was not the least bit embarrassed at the spectacle and truly enjoyed himself. He said, “Oh My God! I’ve never looked so good!”

He spent a few moments adjusting the costume and even fiddling around with it. However, Charles Leclerc took it like a real sport and thoroughly enjoyed himself.

This amusing incident also harks back to the time when Kimi Raikkonen decided to dress up in a gorilla costume. According to Finnish reporters at the 2007 Hungarian Grand Prix, the then Ferrari driver took part in a power boat race with two friends. In fact, all three of them donned gorilla suits and raced.

Sadly, they did not win the race, but came away with a consolation prize for the best-dressed crew. Naturally, the media asked him about the episode, but Kimi Raikkonen gave a non-committal answer, neither confirming nor denying it.

He cheekily quipped, “Yeah, but was it really me?” he replied. “You don’t know. We’ve got the trophy already. It was just a boat race and we went for fun.”

The King Kong episode was not Raikkonen’s first crazy stunt. Earlier that year, the ‘Iceman’ entered and won a snowmobile race in his homeland. However, he raced under the moniker of James Hunt, the late British Formula One champion. The British McLaren legend was notorious for his wild playboy lifestyle.

While Leclerc’s stunt is not as wild as Raikkonen’s, the scene does evoke some laughter due to how ridiculous Leclerc looked. However, as mentioned before, Charles Leclerc was proud of wearing the costume and would not take it off.
