The 2012 season saw Sebastian Vettel secure the world title. The German was over the moon with his third world championship. However, his celebrations might have gotten off to a choppy start. Vettel’s girlfriend and ex-F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone had somewhat of an awkward interaction after the final race.

Ecclestone crashed Vettel’s motor home, after the final race in Brazil to congratulate the German. However, Bernie ended up making Vettel’s girlfriend Hanna a bit uncomfortable while greeting her. This prompted Sebastian to get the F1 boss away from a tricky encounter.
Vettel ended up marrying his then-girlfriend Hanna in 2019. The two have 3 beautiful children together. Hanna does not necessarily participate in the glitz and glamor of the F1 world and is hardly seen in the paddock now.
Although the Briton meant no harm, the entire incident was painful to watch, as Hanna was visibly uncomfortable. However, it could not put a dampen on the spirits for long. After all, the German had just secured his third driver’s title.
Title-winning Brazilian GP for Sebastian Vettel in 2012
The 2012 driver’s title went down to the final round in Brazil. The race saw twists and turns all throughout, with Vettel, in the end, securing the title even after finishing P6. The German was involved in a first-lap incident with Bruno Senna, ending up in last place. This swung the title in Fernando Alonso’s favor.

Although, Vettel slowly but steadily made his way up the field. However, misfortune struck again, with a slow pit stop, left Vettel in P12, meaning Alonso was en route to win his 3rd driver’s title. Vettel had to charge through the field once again, making it to P7.
This would have been enough for Seb to win the title. However, to make things easier for the fellow German, Michael Schumacher let his compatriot through without much fight, increasing Vettel’s chances for the title.

Two laps from the end, Paul di Resta crashed, bringing out the safety car. The race finished with Alonso in P2 and Vettel in P6. However, this was enough for the young German to secure his third driver’s title.
