The master of the track struck again at the Dutch GP. Fernando Alonso didn’t fail to impress; from the race start to the checkered flag. If Alonso found an opportunity to overtake, he took it. This also resulted in a thrilled team radio from the Spaniard at the end of the race.
After overtaking Carlos Sainz in the final moments of the race, Fernando excitedly exclaims, “yes baby yes!” Alonso’s P6 finish helped Alpine get the boost they needed on the constructor’s board. Another reason for Alonso to celebrate after the race.

An impressive race for Fernando Alonso
Alonso started the Dutch GP in P9, having had an average qualifying session on Saturday. While this was the first incident-free start after a long time, there was a little tension between Russell and Alonso. Fernando pushed his Alpine ahead of the Williams, narrowly avoiding contact on turn 2. Nonetheless, the move brought the Spaniard up two positions to seventh.

Summarizing the feeling, Alonso said, “We then settled into a good rhythm and executed a solid race. Overtaking Carlos [Sainz] at the end felt fantastic, as early in the race I didn’t think we could catch the Ferraris. It’ll be interesting to see if we can carry our form into Monza.”
