Not everyone gets as lucky as Anthony Hamilton or Jos Verstappen when it comes to seeing their son rise in Formula 1. There are fathers like late Herve Leclerc who left the world too early to witness his son’s F1 success. Herve Leclerc, the father of Ferrari star driver Charles Leclerc always wanted to see his son make his debut in F1. However, it was too late for him as he passed away way too soon. But his son Leclerc Jr. will never forget his father passing away, not just because he is not there anymore, but because he once lied to him about his F1 contract!

Talking about this, Leclerc shared, “I think he would have been very proud. I’ve always been mad at myself, but his last weeks of life have been complicated, I hadn’t had an F1 contract yet and I lied to him telling him I made it into F1.”
