Lewis Hamilton was looking confident after achieving pole position for the sprint race on Saturday. However, his dream of replicating the performance was shattered as Max Verstappen stole the lead at the very start of the race and won.
As he was slowing down after the final lap of the session, the Brit came onto the radio and asked how the rest of the grid performed in the seventeenth-lap race.

After losing his lead at the start of the race and chasing down the Red Bull driver around Silverstone, Hamilton was surely disappointed to not to start from the front at his home Grand Prix.
Since he wasn’t able to overtake the one driver he needed to, Lewis wanted to know if the drivers behind him were able to overtake each other. Thus, he came on the team radio and asked, “Was there any overtaking in that race?.” His race engineer stated there was some action at the start and the Perez had an incident that will see him start from the back.
Hamilton then asked, “I hit target on the start right?”
“Yeah, copy Lewis. Yes, you did. We will just review that data,” his engineer replied.

Can Lewis find the pace and redeem himself on Sunday?

The 36-year-old is certainly upset as Verstappen beat him to the pole. Nonetheless, Hamilton isn’t one to give up and is hoping to have the edge over the Dutchman as soon as the lights go out at Silverstone.
Furthermore, the Mercedes driver is hoping to grab a much-needed win for the Brackley-based squad and seize twenty-five points that will see narrow the gap in the title race against Verstappen.
