Jenner Racing driver Jamie Chadwick recently picked up the 2022 W Series Championship, making it three years in a row. The news of her win comes after the governing body decided to call off the remaining three races due to financial reasons. As Chadwick picked up her win, things do look the same as Max Verstappen and Formula 1.

Talking about the 2022 Japanese Grand Prix with Sky Sports, Chadwick conveyed the situation to be worse than Verstappen’s. She said, “I was thinking that, I was watching it [the race] thinking ‘oh that’s a bit of an anti-climax, and then I feel like this is probably even more so.”
The W Series winner further stated, “I guess down the line I won’t even remember thinking about it like this.'”
“You always want to have the best opportunity to win it on track. It’s mixed emotions. I wasn’t hoping to be sat at home when finding out I’ve won a championship, but it’s how it falls this time,” concluded the 24-year-old racing driver.
Max Verstappen picked up his 2022 F1 championship with four races to go. The title comes after the Dutchman picked up his 12th win of the season after seeing the chequered flag at the Suzuka Circuit. Interestingly, the F2, F3, W Series and F4 championships, have also ended the same way.
Max Verstappen is on his way to break the record for most wins
Max Verstappen had a scintillating 2022 F1 season, there’s no doubt about that. The Dutchman not only retained his F1 world title from last year but also broke his 2021 record of wins, where he registered 10 wins in a single season.

2021 was a season where Verstappen put his hands on the championship by winning on 10 occasions. As the 25-year-old started his 2022 journey with 20 wins, he has reached 32 wins already, equaling the record set by Fernando Alonso.
Verstappen not only touched Alonso’s record of wins but also the number of championships. Talking about the wins, it’s surreal to see the number of races the Red Bull ace won in the last two years. In the 40 races that Verstappen took part in, he won 22 of them, while he had DNFs in five races. That makes it 22 race wins in 35 races.

At Japan, Verstappen crossed the finish line, with a 62.8% winning record in all the races he completed in 2021 and 2022. Interestingly, Verstappen Jr. is just one win away from equaling Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher’s record of 13 wins in a season. With four more races to go, two wins will see the Dutchman break all the records for most wins in a single season.
