Visa Cash App RB (formerly AlphaTauri), Red Bull’s sister team, recently revealed the livery of their 2024 challenger VCARB 01 in Las Vegas. In its current avatar, the newly branded RB team is packing a serious punch. With new leading brand sponsors like Visa and Cash App, a redefined relationship with the senior team, and a shift of personnel to Red Bull’s factory at Milton Keynes, the team is set to take the world of Formula 1 by storm. Moreover, the team also has a new budding female driver under its wing who was seen alongside Daniel Ricciardo in Vegas.
Emirati driver Amna Al Qubaisi is set to return to F1 Academy in 2024, this time with the RB team, along with her sisters Hamda Al Qubaisi and Emely de Heus, who will represent Red Bull Racing as part of the MP Motorsport team. So, who is Amna Al Qubaisi?
Who is Amna Al Qubaisi?

Amna Al Qubaisi, daughter of Khaled Al Qubaisi, is a promising young racing talent and the first female Formula Racing driver arriving on the grand stage from the UAE. However, she has been involved in the world of motor racing for almost a decade now. She entered the world of motorsport in 2014 like most inexperienced drivers do with karting at 14. She went on to take part in various karting championships like the Rotax Max Challenge World Finals, X30 Euro Series, and Italian X30 Championships, securing impressive results.

In 2018, she took a significant step forward in her racing career by joining the Italian F4 championship with the PREMA Powerteam. After Italian F4, she participated in Formula 4 UAE, Formula 3 Asian, Formula Regional European Championship, and most lately, in the F1 Academy season in 2023. She finished 6th in the standings while claiming two victories and two podiums along the way. This year, she will return for her second season at the F1 Academy.
According to the Red Bull Academy Programme Manager, Sarah Harrington Amna and her sisters are a fine addition to their program, and they represent Red Bull’s commitment to fostering the growth of women in motorsport. Sander Dorsman, Team Principal at MP Motorsport, also expressed excitement about retaining the services of the three Emirati sisters. With the experience of an effective first season, Dorsman aims to secure the team’s title this year.

With all the good things happening with RB, Amna Al Qubaisi has a lot to gain from the team, from the likes of Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda behind the scenes. However, Racing Bulls have a point to prove themselves.
Daniel Ricciardo sets out expectations for Visa Cash App RB in 2024
Racing Bulls has seen a lot of changes in the winter break, including the arrival of a new Team Principal, Laurent Mekies, a new Chief Technical Officer, Tim Goss, and a new Racing Director, Alan Permane. The team also shifted their base from the UK to Milton Keynes, where they will use Red Bull’s facilities to develop their car. In light of all these changes, Daniel Ricciardo feels the team has a chip on its shoulder and has a ‘point to prove’ in 2024.

“I like what’s happened, the changes that have taken place. There’s something about the team. The mindset is a bit different, kind of like a point to prove. It’s cool. It’s fun,” Ricciardo told F1.com. Notably, Ricciardo is setting the target to achieve top-5 results consistently. “Do I think top-five results are on the table – and could they be on the table in the first half of the season? I’d like to think so,” he added.
