If a pole position is important at a track, it is definitely Circuit de Monaco. While the race is not as straightforward, starting from as far ahead guarantees a stupendous finish, nevertheless. Sergio Perez comes to the Principality to defend the Monaco crown he collected last year, but can Max Verstappen let that happen? Verstappen’s spicy clap back certainly indicates what’s brewing on the horizon.
Last year toward the end of qualifying, Checo crashed on the exit of Portier after having done a lap faster than Max. The crash brought out a Red Flag, meaning the Dutchman had to start from P4. An extremely irritated Verstappen seemed to lose his cool after the qualifying, almost accusing Perez of conveniently parking his car into the wall after a good lap.

While there were only conjectures, Brazil 2022 showed us the status quo of the brewing tensions. At Sao Paulo, Verstappen refused team orders to help Checo seal his second place in the championship, and the fans and tabloids haven’t stopped reporting tensions in the team.

Fans dig Max Verstappen’s cheeky remark
After Monaco Grand Prix last year, Verstappen was an unhappy man. His father, Jos Verstappen, was on the same page as he demanded better treatment for Max Verstappen, who was the championship leader. While all throughout the year, many things were said and done, Verstappen has decided to take the humorous path this year. While talking to the media about Red Flag in Q3, he said, “I just need to do a good lap in the first run, I guess (laughs). It happens.” and the F1 Twitter went berserk.
