Lando Norris is one of the most loved drivers in Formula One right now. He has a massive fan following because of how carries himself. He also interacts with his fans on his twitch streams from time to time and even races with them in video games.

The McLaren driver is known to be a jokester in the F1 paddock. It is hard for him to keep a straight face when he is doing media duties for the team. The British team took to social media to share Lando’s goofy side in the new 2022 season photoshoot.

Lando Norris reveals negativity on social media does affect him

As reported by Motorsport, despite his fun personality and his admirable relationship with the fans, the young British driver does get trolled from time to time for his antics. Although he mentions he has developed a thick skin for dealing with negativity but he revealed why he gets affected by some comments.

“I think it’s something I’ve learned in my first three seasons in F1, that there seem to be those people out there who, that is the only thing they want to do with their life, and they have nothing better than to attack people,” said Norris.

“I just hate to see it. Does it affect me? In a small way, but nothing more than that, hopefully. From my side, it’s just more funny to see nowadays and I take it as a laugh and a joke, rather than taking it personally, as there is nothing you can do.

“You have to focus on your own job, focus on your laps, whatever. And if it is out of your hands, then there is no reason you should get the blame for it,” said Norris.

Not all F1 go easy on the drivers, and drivers have to deal with negativity often. But it is commendable how the McLaren driver has reacted to negative comments so far. He has been a champion of raising awareness towards the issue of mental health in motorsports. And he deserves all the respect in the world.
