The Dutch Grand Prix weekend is underway, with the first practice session taking place. However, there already has been an incident with Sebastian Vettel as the German was zipping around Zandvoort, smoke was seen coming out of his Aston Martin.
The 4-time world champion would have hoped that his weekend could have gotten off to a better start. Instead, it was ruined, as his power unit went up in smoke, forcing the German out of the car to retrieve a fire extinguisher.

After having a disappointing race last weekend at Spa. The German was hoping to kick things off in the Netherlands. However, obstacles seem to find their way in front of him just as he’s looking to pick up some much-needed momentum.

He stopped at turn one of the track, immediately got out of the car, ran to get an extinguisher, and received some assistance from the marshalls. With the session being red-flagged, he got into the medical car and headed back to his team’s garage.

A difficult start to the weekend for the German
After having a bad start in FP1 where found himself to be second last on the timesheet, and had engine problems. The German would hope to bounce back in the second session later in the day.
The 34-year-old hopes that his engine problems aren’t repeated in FP2 later on Friday evening, and aims to get a good lap time around Zandvoort to give hope to the Silverstone-based outfit to have a better weekend.
Still getting used to the Dutch track, most drivers including the 4-times world champion are hoping to find the pace, and get the most out of his Mercedes-powered car to have a successful weekend.
