Lewis Hamilton dominating Formula 1

Lewis Hamilton had one of the greatest rookie performances in Formula 1 history. He recorded nine consecutive podium finishes that season, finished as the runner-up, and missed the championship by just a single point.

Lewis Hamilton is widely considered one of the greatest Formula 1 racers of all time. Moreover, with Mercedes by his side, he is shattering Formula 1 records every season.

Hamilton was reported acknowledging that if he had been a Formula 1 fan, watching a racer dominate one race after another would put him to sleep. He mentioned, “I was a teenaged kid. I would have woken up, had my bacon sarnie and probably watched the start and gone to sleep and then woken up to watch the end.”

However, Lewis Hamilton was reminiscing the old days after winning six world championships. It takes one back to his hero, Ayrton Senna, speaking about his best racing days. He said, “I would have to go back to 78 and 79 when I was go-kart driving.”

“There was no money involved either, it was real racing. I have that as a very good memory,” Ayrton further added.

Hamilton is currently on the cusp of winning this season. A win at the Turkish Grand Prix next weekend will seal Hamilton’s record-equalling seventh world title. Moreover, he will get a shot at making history by winning his eighth championship title next year.
