Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas has been in the news for a new gin he created with girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell. The initial tease is now a full-blown announcement, as the Finnish-Australian flavors make their way to the fans.

Bottas promoted the project even at the Australian GP. In fact, we often spot him wearing his brand “O/\TH Gin’s” cap, the latest seen at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Bottas has embarked on his journey to make this particular gin, which he has previously called his “passion project”. In fact, the couple made the gin with a unique formula involving oats from Bottas’ family fields and apples from Cromwell’s hometown in Australia.

Valtteri Bottas promises a premium gin in “O/\TH”

Fans widely know Cromwell and Bottas to be two of the most renowned athletes in the world. While Bottas is a famous F1 driver who has formerly driven for Mercedes, Cromwell is a pro cyclist and an olympian. Their personal involvement in the project has garnered arguable word-of-mouth, with many eagerly waiting to try the gin worldwide.

“O/\TH Gin” is already available in Finland for now and more destinations will follow soon. About the new venture, Bottas commented, “O/\TH salutes the promises we make to ourselves, to our loved ones, to our homeland.” Cromwell further added, “We wanted to create together a premium gin that embodied our family heritages from Australia and Finland.” Moreover, the gin will reportedly also contain staple Juniper Berries, botanicals and even apple peels.

The Finn has been consistent for the team

Notably, Bottas has been arguably on the top of his game for quite some time now. Despite moving to a comparatively smaller team, Alfa Romeo, Bottas has done exceptionally well. The Finnish driver’s latest highlight was the Spanish GP, where he fought with the likes of Mercedes and Ferrari. The driver finished P6 overall while putting in a brilliant fight for the top 5.

Moreover, the Finn has given some consistent performances for the Italian manufacturers. He has now finished in points consistently in 5 out of the last 6 races.
