I think they are already focused on 2022: Valtteri Bottas

As reported by it. Motorsport, Alfa Romeo Team Principal Fred Vasseur mentioned he is trying to reach an agreement with Mercedes to let Bottas test their car in Abu Dhabi.

“We have to discuss with Mercedes and find an agreement. I hope that we can find a point of agreement. A contract is a contract, and he is tied to the team until the end of the year, so we have to find a solution,” said Vasseur.

Bottas too hopes that he gets a chance to drive Alfa Romeo this year. “I hope so,” said Bottas.

“A few weeks ago, I visited the factory and there are all the necessary facilities for the team to be competitive. I think they haven’t developed the car a lot this year, so I don’t expect much progress from them. I think they are already focused on 2022.” said the Finn on joining Alfa Romeo.
