Team USA created history at the Paris Olympics. With a fifth gold medal in basketball, the players (read: icons) have etched their names in history books. Under the leadership of the King of the Court, LeBron James, USA, gave a tough fight to the home team. The French side was resilient, fighting to the tee, but ultimately The Stripe and Spangle Banner emerged victorious.
Moments after their iconic win, accolades poured in. Especially for LeBron James, who has written his name among the greatest of all times. However, the Ace of 3-pointers’ Stephen Curry‘s contribution in the finals played a pivotal role in clutching the win. Thanks to Curry’s breathtaking 4 uber clutch 3-pointers, Team USA took the lead and there was no turning back after that.
Meanwhile, ‘King’ LeBron shared his special moments from the Paris Olympics finals. A carousel of photos featuring himself and his team, with special moments shared with Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Anthony Davis. The champions were adorned with gold medals glistered with pride. James’ caption read: “AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!! Mission Complete 🥇🇺🇸🫡👑” They are truly the mighty Avengers. But what’s more interesting is the fact that Lewis Hamilton, once again, didn’t miss his chance to congratulate the Basketball giants. He agreed with LeBron James’ caption and commented, “Yup.”

You’ll never find Hamilton missing out on praising the champions. After all, a champion will always identify a champion. We can’t even fathom the joy an athlete feels in winning at the Olympics. Maybe LeBron, who now has four medals from the game, could tell us all about it. Some believe the icon is in his career’s final lap, if yes, then what an outstanding final lap it is!

LeBron James was named Olympics’ MVP, with 14 points on his name, six rebounds, and 10 assists. “I’m just living in the moment super humble that I can still play this game and play it at a high level,” LeBron James said. “It came with us winning gold and that’s what’s more important for me. It’s pretty cool.” A true legend of the sport, LeBron earned his fourth Olympic medal and third gold medal at the Paris Olympics. At the same time, Stephen Curry came in as the savior of Team USA.
The Yanks are truly unstoppable. However, at one point in the game, it felt like France could easily overtake. But when time demands, a hero always emerges. Swooped in Steph ‘the 3-pointer king’ Curry. back-to-back four 3-pointers, followed by an insane dribble session that left the French side dumbfounded. “All I saw was the rim. I didn’t see who was in front of me. I knew it was kind of a late-clock situation, but that one impressed me.” And not LeBron James or Curry, the unsung heroes like Devin Booker‘s 15 points and Kevin Durant’s 15 points all summed up to USA’s colossal win.

While some players were relishing their first Olympics, legends like LeBron James and Kevin Durant might be on their last stint. With memories made and the bar set so high, their legacy will pass on to the rightful heirs. At the end of the Olympic Games, the USA’s contingent of 547 athletes returned home with the most number of medals. What a lovely festival of sports Paris has held for the last 15 days!
