The one thing that the entire Formula 1 world was waiting for has finally come to fruition. After an eternity of back-and-forth and complex negotiations, Lewis Hamilton has signed a 2-year contract extension with Mercedes that will see him driving for the team till the end of 2025 and earn him $127 million over its course. At such a junction, while making this magnanimous announcement, the Silver Arrows resonated with American gymnast, Simone Biles‘ 3-word mantra.

Simone Biles has been a Lewis Hamilton fan since 2021. Ever since F1 gained global recognition and spread into the USA, the American gymnast has been following the 7x champ. Last week Biles was spotted in the SAP arena, San Jose, donning a vibrant GK Elite purple leotard. Under the criss-cross detailing on the back of her outfit were the words: “but still I rise”. That exact motto is what the Silver Arrows have led the way with for a successful extension of their partnership with Hamilton.
