About 2.25 billion cups of coffee are consumed every day worldwide. In the States alone, people drink 400 million cups of coffee daily. Around 65% of Americans answered yes when asked if they like a cup of joe before running their errands—no wonder the Americans are always in a rush.

However, Finland is far ahead of the United States. They have the highest per capita consumption of coffee. Embodying this fact, Valtteri Bottas, a coffee aficionado himself, launched a special bundle ahead of the US Grand Prix. Bottas’ is a co-owner of a roaster based in Lahti, Finland. With the special bundle, he aims to introduce the large coffee demographic in America and the world to the rich blends of his roastery.

The Finnish driver has spoken about his love for coffee on several occasions. He loves to explore the cafes during the Grand Prix weekends. In places where a good cup of espresso is difficult to find, the Finn carries his Aero press, a hand grinder, and coffee beans from his roaster. Living every coffee lover’s dream he is the co-owner of a Finland-based roaster Kahiwa Coffee. A big fan of flat whites and espresso shots, with some latte art, his passion for coffee peaked during COVID. Ahead of the United States Grand Prix, he launched a special bundle ‘Howdy’. For F1 fans who go to great lengths to find the best coffee, this collaboration is a win-win.

The collaborative bundle is a limited-time partnership with the Greater Goods Coffee Company and Alfa Romeo driver’s own Kahiwa Coffee. The bundle includes Kenyan beans, known for floral and fruity undertones and hints of wine. These beans are the most exquisite coffee beans in the world with one of the highest caffeine content. However, it would be a shame if the bundle didn’t include some Texan element, since Austin is its capital city. Fret not, as the bundle boasts of a Texan-themed bandana and the secret to Bottas’ brewing methods.

His passion for coffee is so strong and known that he is often invited to judge baristas and coffee competitions. Outside the 5-Gs on track, Valtteri Bottas loves himself a flat white, with double shots of espresso, and little to no sugar. Back in his hometown, Bottas leads a very calm yet ‘caffeinated’ life.

Outside the fast cars of Formula 1, he enjoys quite slow-burn hobbies. One of which is cycling.”I love cycling, quite a big cyclist, and my girlfriend is a professional. So for me, that’s a nice hobby, something else than Formula One. And actually, it’s a really nice way to see places and nature and explore. I like traveling. So if I have some time off, I’m quite often not so good at staying still so I like to keep moving,” he said in an interview to Sports Illustrated.
