The second race of the 2022 F1 season in Jeddah is complete. The Saudi Arabia GP made for fascinating watching and sees Max Verstappen clinching the win at the end. The race results shook up the standings in the constructors and drivers’ championship.

The eventful race, without any doubt, served up the goods. The completion of the Saudi GP sees Formula 1 move to Australia for the next round.

Constructors in Saudi

The race showed the fans that this year’s title will be between Red Bull and Ferrari, with the 2 looking great all weekend long. Sergio Perez started on a pole with Charles Leclerc alongside him. Sainz and Verstappen made up the second row.

However, come the end of the race, the Verstappen had snatched the race win from Charles Leclerc. Carlos Sainz finished in P3 making the podium places.

The constructors see some major change. Ferrari extends their lead over Mercedes by 40 points and sit top of the table with 78points. Red Bull has caught up just one point behind the Silver Arrows with 37 points.

Driver Standings after Saudi

The race saw multiple DNFs which shake up the driver’s standings a bit. The new driver standings still see Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in the top 2 spots. Max Verstappen moves into 3rd place with George Russell and Lewis Hamilton rounding out the top 5.

The race also sees Sergio Perez collect his first points of the season and move into 7th alongside Kevin Magnussen. Lando Norris also picked up his first point of the season finishing in P7. Given below are the entire standings.
