The Ferrari camp doesn’t seem to be willing to easily let go of the troubles. After a lackluster qualifying, the Prancing Horse experienced yet another disappointment at the Hungarian Grand Prix. However, once you become hooked on a Ferrari, there is no turning back. This is exactly what Ferrari’s star driver Charles Leclerc indicated after the challenging Budapest race.
Leclerc, who gave it his best in yesterday’s race despite a 9.4-second pit stop (which is certainly a poor stop) managed to improve his position at the end of the day. Unfortunately, in addition to the blunder made by the team, the Monegasque committed a costly error of speeding in the pit lane, which caused him five seconds in penalties. Undoubtedly, the miserable events in the Scuderia are continuing as since the beginning of the season Leclerc hardly completed any race with ease and this predicament might certainly bring down his mental agility from 100 to 0.

Nevertheless, soon after an embarrassing racing result (P7), when the reporters expected to hear the Monaco driver slamming the Ferrari yet again, the upbeat Leclerc made a sacred commitment that might melt the hearts of Tifosi. In a viral tweet from Ferrari news, when he was asked if he was feeling demoralized after a challenging race, Leclerc responded, “ Zero. I’ll give my all until the last race, but there is a lot of work to do.”
Leclerc is certainly a resilient person who is adept at overcoming difficult circumstances. Though the Monegasque made a sacred promise at the end of the day, he didn’t hold back from expressing his thoughts on Ferrari’s poor pit stop.
How did Charles Leclerc respond to Ferrari’s poor pit stop at the Hungarian race?
When a driver is giving it his all in a vehicle with its own limitations, the motorist feels that his crew will support him to gain the maximum number of points possible. However, instead of giving him any support Ferrari ended up ruining Leclerc’s race owing to their delayed pit stop on a side where other teams were having pit stop ranging from 1.9 to 3.0 seconds.

Adding salt to injury to his miserable day, the team later instructed him not to pass Carlos Sainz. When questioned about his overall experience after the race, a devastated Leclerc slammed the team for the poor pit stop. He said, “The pitstop was quite slow. We had a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane. It’s, again, a weekend that is difficult.”
Later, he noted how such errors make competent drivers’ efforts go unrecognized and how, when a pilot makes a single mistake, everyone surrounds them with hostility. The 25-year-old continued the elaboration and said, “Honestly, it’s frustrating overall because I felt that, with the pace we had today, even as a driver, when you are feeling like you’re doing a good job with a car you have, nobody really notices it. And whenever you are doing a bad job, everybody notices it. So it’s difficult.”
