Are we about to see a repeat of a Nico Rosberg-Lewis Hamilton kind of rivalry in F1? We hope so! At the Brazilian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez had the most sensational falling outs we’ve seen in quite a while. And now someone’s added more fuel to the fire.

Sergio Perez blasted Max Verstappen after the Dutch driver left the Mexican out to dry at the 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix. Perez needed the points for his fight for P2 in Championship and Verstappen out rightly disobeyed team orders to let him by.

Team boss Christian Horner quickly apologized to Perez, who replied: “It shows who he really is.”

Now, Dutch GP boss Jan Lammers has now hit out against Perez. While speaking to NOS, he said, “Perez says Verstappen owes his two titles to him, but he also said he has now seen Verstappen’s true nature which I think it quite personal.”

“It’s a personal insult to Max’s character, which was unnecessary and below the belt.”

The fans and the media have kept on hammering this controversy in many different shapes. It would appear that the protagonist of this play has put this whole situation behind him.

Sergio Perez was left fuming after the Brazilian Grand Prix. He was asked to let his teammate Verstappen by. But when the Dutch driver was asked to return the favor, he bluntly denied it. This has compromised Perez’s fight for P2 in the Championship with Charles Leclerc.

That being said, it would appear that the Mexican has put the whole fiasco behind him. He said on social media, “With Max and the team, everything was discussed yesterday and will be kept internally, this is behind us, and we will continue to work as the great team we have been so far.”
