The pandemic affected all walks of life. Families couldn’t meet each other as countries were under lockdown. However, every cloud has a silver lining. After spending months away from his family, F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo finally went back to Australia. What was more heartwarming to see was his reunion with his nephew, Issac.

The Formula One community adores it when Ricciardo spends some quality time with his nephew. A wholesome moment one can recall is when McLaren made a video that included Issac wishing his Uncle Daniel all the best at the start of the 2021 season.

The McLaren driver is extremely close to his family, but the global pandemic made it difficult for it to meet them. However, Ricciardo is back in Australia, and is now reunited with his family.

The 32-YO Daniel, a very fun-loving character, posted some goofy photos of himself and his nephew. It was loved by everyone within the Formula One community, as they know the two share a special bond.

How did Ricciardo perform in 2021?

The Australian had just joined McLaren, coming from Renault, for the 2021 season. Many believed that Ricciardo would take the Woking-based outfit to new heights. However, that wasn’t the case, but a highlight of his first year with McLaren was his iconic win in Monza at the Italian Grand Prix.

Ricciardo ended the 2021 camping with 115 points to his name, finishing eighth in the driver’s standings.
