Sir Lewis Hamilton was knighted a couple of years ago. The 7X champion has brought laurels to the UK with all that he has done on and off the track. While Hamilton is the one that has a special place in the heart of the British, Red Bull and Max Verstappen‘s dominance in 2023 just cannot be ignored. As Verstappen took over the British hearts, the UK Parliament bowed down to Red Bull. But how? And what was said in the Parliament?

Red Bull’s 2023 campaign was nothing short of a dream. Winning 21 out of the 22 races is just something that’s never heard of before. And with Max Verstappen winning 19 races and breaking multiple records on his way while doing so. One can only be in awe and commend what the Milton Keynes-based team achieved this season. And the UK Parliament did acknowledge and congratulate Red Bull on the same.

Local MP, Greg Smith, speaking in the UK Parliament’s House of Commons congratulated Red Bull on their flawless 2023 season. Smith said, “Sometimes, there is a sporting achievement that simply cannot go without comment. Over the last year, Red Bull Racing smashed through every record in the Formula 1 season winning 21 of the 22 races. And that Magic can only happen on track because of the incredible British business based up the road from my constituency in Milton Keynes of innovation excellence, skills, and engineering superiority. So will my RT Hon Friend join me in congratulating Christian Horner and the whole Red Bull team in their success this year”

However, it wasn’t only the UK Parliament who congratulated Max Verstappen and Co. Even Lewis Hamilton took the opportunity at the FIA Gala to congratulate Red Bull on the amazing 2023 season. But what exactly did he say?

Lewis Hamilton congratulates Max Verstappen and Co. on the faultless 2023 season.

Lewis Hamilton was for sure disappointed with how the 2023 campaign turned out to be. Throughout the season, the frustration of not having a fast car was heard in Hamilton’s comments. Nonetheless, the disappointment didn’t stop Hamilton from congratulating his arch-rival Max Verstappen at the FIA Award Ceremony for the 2023 season.

Lewis Hamilton at the 2023 FIA Gala said, “I must say a big congratulations to Red Bull, Verstappen and Checo, they’ve done an incredible job this year. Max Verstappen was faultless. Max and all of his team really raised the bar and we have a lot of work to close that gap, but I truly do believe that we can close that gap”
