Days After Conor McGregor Sported $10,750 Masterpiece in the Mecca of Motorsport, F1 Champ Max Verstappen Follows His Footsteps to Celebrate Historic Victory

The glitz and the glamor is something ever present in the domain of sports right now. Athletes who are or have been at the very top of their game in their respective industries have almost always been the most affluent. And with this affluence comes a certain craving and panache for expensive style. ex-UFC champion, Conor McGregor is known for his eccentric and expensive lifestyle, but he’s now rubbing it off on Max Verstappen, too!

At Monaco, the Irish mixed martial artist was spotted in the principality soaking in the motorsport heritage and atmosphere. But he did have an exquisite accessory to mark the occasion. Reports revealed that, “Conor McGregor recently made watch news as he attended Australian singer-songwriter Kylie Minogue’s birthday in Monaco sporting a classic TAG Heuer Monaco chronograph. The Formula 1 Monaco GP trophy even made an appearance at the event, showing off its custom Louis Vuitton carrying case.”

McGregor is a trendsetter, no doubt. But it would amaze you to know that he has influenced the 2x champion as well! At the podium ceremony for the Canadian GP, celebrating Red Bull‘s historic 100th win, Verstappen was spotted adorning a $10,750 worth ornament looking suspiciously similar to McGregor’s.

Insane Luxury reported on Instagram, “@maxverstappen1 of Red Bull Racing celebrated today’s Grand Prix of Canada win wearing a new @tagheuer Monaco Chronograph ‘Skeleton’ in titanium. Unveiled in occasion of the 80th Monaco Grand Prix this timepiece mark the brand’s first use of a skeleton dial within its Monaco collection.”

“The version worn by Verstappen is the ‘Original Blue’ where the colors (blue and red) pay homage to the first-ever TAG Heuer Monaco released in 1969. #TagHeuer.”

But while Verstappen looks up to the 34-year-old, McGregor seems to have a bond with a certain 7x champion.
