Fernando Alonso impressed everyone with his comeback in the 2021 season. He outscored his teammate, Esteban Ocon, in the drivers’ standings. The Spaniard also secured a podium in Qatar, which was his first since the 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix.

But, before the start of the 2022 season, he will visit the hospital. Alonso met with an accident in the early part of 2021. He fell from his bike on the road, which broke his jaw. He had surgery after the accident, which meant that he had plates in his jaw the whole year.

Alonso had previously stated that he was very scared at his return after the accident.

“I was very scared. One month before the first race of the championship, you find yourself in the hospital after a bike accident. … And you start thinking if this could delay your comeback and if this will have any consequences on your comeback.
