The overarching plot point of Formula 1 over the past couple of years has been the rivalry between Red Bull and Mercedes. Naturally, their star drivers, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, respectively, have been on the fighting end for their teams. This battle reached its peak in 2021 when an acrimonious end to an already drama-filled season gave Verstappen supremacy over the 7x champion Hamilton. Since then, Mercedes, and by extension Hamilton has been nowhere close to the pace and dominance of Verstappen and the Bulls. On the track, the 2x champion has been making the moves in an utterly dominant fashion. However, off the track, he’s been getting a few up and over Lewis Hamilton.
$200 million man, Verstappen, is someone who likes to call it a day when his shift is over driving the fastest cars in the world for a day job at the pinnacle of motor racing. Hence, the Dutch lion has created an affinity for pets. In the past, he’s had a dog, Spyke, who unfortunately passed away last year. But he has company in the name of two cats, named Jimmy and Sassy. But the 25-year-old seeks more than just comfort in them.
Verstappen’s girlfriend and daughter of 3x champion Nelson Piquet, Kelly Piquet recently took to her Instagram account to show her fans her foray into the world of Louis Vuitton. There, she posted a story of herself wanting to commission a bespoke pet carrier, which normally goes for $2,300 with an adorable dog embossed on top of it for the two cats. She captioned it, “I need to commission one for Jimmy & Sassy!!!”

He criticized the team even before Qualifying began by calling them out for another flawed car. However, Wolff came out in support of the Brit. He was quoted by Express UK as saying, “We are super critical with ourselves and what we need to achieve. There is no such thing as a holy cow.”
