Ferrari have made a roaring comeback in Formula One in the 2021 season. The Italian team finished in P3 after a consistent and stellar 2021 campaign. They were coming on the back of a dismal 2020 season, which was their worst in 40 years.

F1 Journalist Joe Saward took to social media to inform that Ferrari have some exciting news coming out tomorrow. The news has sent the Tifosi in a frenzy on what the news could be. While replying to some fans, Saward dropped a few hints that might take the excitement to another level.

Ferrari F1 Boss hopes for an easy talk with Carlos Sainz for the 2022 drive

Carlos Sainz impressed everyone with his 2021 season by finishing P5 in the championship. He secured four podiums in his debut season with the Italian team, beating teammate Charles Leclerc.

Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto hopes that the contract negotiations with Sainz for the 2022 season would be an easy one.

“We’ll sit down with time and try to understand. Certainly, I think he did very well during the season. [We are] very happy the way that he has integrated, the way that he has been performing on track and during the race weekends.” said Binotto.

“I would like to sit down with him. I’ve not started yet the discussion with him. First, I would like to understand how he’s pleased, have a review of him with the season and look together to the future.

It will be, I think, an easy discussion, no doubt. But so far we have not started, so I have no answer for you.” concluded Mattia.

Well, it would be good news for both the Tifosi and the team if Sainz signs a contract extension with the team. But it would be even better news if the rumors of former FIA President Jean Todt joining the team are true.
