F1 is certainly taking over the entertainment world. After the introduction of Drive To Survive a few years ago, the sport captured the imagination of everyone watching. Basking on the success of DTS, there are many projects that are centered around the world of F1.

FIA, the governing body of motorsport, is also not missing out on the opportunity to present the pinnacle of motorsport in a new light. They have announced a new documentary that will look at the early years of the current F1 grid and recently released a teaser that featured the likes of Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, etc.

F1 fans on Twitter appreciated the first teaser of the documentary and shared their reactions on the platform.

 

Not just the FIA, but Hollywood legend Keanu Reeves also announced that he will make a documentary around the 2009 season.

The Matrix megastar revealed that the story of Brawn GP and their success captivated him. He was present at the British Grand Prix and mentioned that he has already met with F1 managing director Ross Brawn and disclosed his plans to make a documentary.

“We want to tell that amazing remarkable story. There is so much to talk about. A friend of mine was telling me the story and I was so struck by it.”

“He was actually working for Brawn back in the day in publicity and he’s a producer-director and so we were like, ‘Well, let’s tell that story, let’s try and tell that story. [Brawn] has just been a legend. He’s such an amazing person, so it’s really cool to get to meet him and spend some time,” explained Reeves.

Lewis Hamilton has also announced that he will be involved in an upcoming Hollywood movie surrounding the world of F1. He will produce the film starring Brad Pitt in the lead.

It is quite interesting to see that the entertainment world is so enamored by F1. Furthermore, it is great to see the pinnacle of motorsport getting this kind of attention, which will inevitably bring in more fans.
