“I’m extremely proud to say that I will become an Aston martin driver in 2021. It’s a new adventure for me with a truly legendary car company. I have been impressed with the results the team has achieved this year and I believe the future looks even brighter,” said the 4-time World Champion.
The kind of relationship that Vettel managed to build with the billionaire and the Racing Point’s part-owner, Lawrence Stroll, has been very evident over the course of this season.
His future teammate, Lance Stroll, renewed his contract with the Racing Point earlier this season. With Sebastian Vettel’s announcement, Racing Point have locked their line-ups for the next Season.
This is how Ferrari reacted to Vettel’s transfer:
Happy to know you’ll be around next year! Let’s finish this doing our best together 💪❤️ #Seb5 #essereFerrari🔴 pic.twitter.com/caAB3wvF9T

The Ferrari’s tweet indicated their relief on the fact that Vettel will still remain in F1 next year. They also showed intent in finishing his six-year drive with the team on a high note.
This transfer could be a breath of fresh air for Sebastian Vettel considering his time with the Prancing Stallion, which has been nothing but a little unsettling this season.
He only managed to score a total of a measly 16 points from the first eight races. He is lingering at a disappointing 13th place on the standings.
On the other hand, his future team looks to be fighting for a Top-5 finish in the Constructors’ Championship this season. The team will probably be hoping to hold on to Vettel for some time.
