Lewis Hamilton Reflects on His “Ultimate Purpose” in Emotional Message After Equaling Schumacher’s Record

Lewis Hamilton secured his 7th World Championship title with 3 more races to go this season. The Briton started the race from P6 and conjured up sensational lap timings to finish the race at P1. In doing so, Lewis Hamilton equaled Michael Schumacher’s record of most title wins.

The F1 kingpin was emotionally overwhelmed with the realisation of the title win. He had an emotional message for everyone out there and looking up to the champion.

He reassured the kids out there to dream the impossible, keep chasing it and achieve it even if everyone believes it is impossible.

After the race, Lewis Hamilton also opened up on Instagram, expressing his emotions. He also described his motivation, his feeling, and the spotlight of equaling the world record.

 Lewis Hamilton is still rising

Hamilton admitted that 7 world championship titles mean the world to him. However, the champion mentioned that there is still a race he is yet to win.

He expressed his desire to help push Formula 1 towards a more diverse and inclusive direction in a bid to bring his mission of a more equal and kinder world closer to reality.

All weekend it seemed like he would not be able to finish on top of the podium. But as he has done so often, he found pace and grip where others could not and managed to win the race by a large margin.

In the post-race interview, the champion stated that he is not done yet. He said, “I feel like I’m only just getting started, it’s really weird.

“This year has been a challenge that I didn’t know how to get through, but with the help of people around me I managed to just keep my head above water and stay focused.”

Hamilton is hopeful for a better year and he stated that he would love to stay and work towards a better future for himself, his team and the sport.

The 2021 drivers’ lineup is really tempting, and it will be interesting to see whether Lewis Hamilton can break the record of most championship titles next season.
