Lance Stroll, Max Verstappen, and Sergio Perez, it was a very unusual lineup for the post-qualifying press conference ahead of the Turkish Grand Prix race.
Lance Stroll stunned the grid with his career-best qualifying position at P1. Sergio Perez also took his career-best qualifying in third. The Racing Points, Red Bull, and Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo managed to push Mercedes out of Top-5 first time since 2013.
In the FIA press conference, he was asked about his emotions. He explained that it is unbelievable. However, he pointed out that the last few months have been tough.

He said, “It’s a pretty special moment for me especially after the last couple of months it’s been a rough ride for me. Since Mugello really. I haven’t scored a point since my podium in Monza.”

Lance Stroll bounced back at Istanbul
Lance Stroll was lauded by the whole Formula 1 community. Everyone was congratulating the Canadian on the grid and off it after his sensational last lap to out-qualify the whole grid.
Stroll has had some tough weekends. He has missed on a few races due to incidents and intestinal discomfort. The Canadian has managed to bounce back with so much going on, and he pointed out how that this means a lot to him.

It was a surreal day for Lance Stroll. “I’m still not really in the moment right now. I’m a bit lost for words. It was such a crazy session. It’s been a crazy day since this morning,” said the pole sitter.
The pour down and the resurfaced track provided very challenging conditions for the drivers. It was very slippery throughout the sessions and drivers were struggling to find grip on their tires.
“It’s been a rough run, with incidents and COVID. So much has been going on and to bounce back like this and put it on pole position today is very special for me.”

The Canadian to go out on his intermediate tires and had one lap to deliver, and so he did. “I felt like I had the confidence in the car and the consistency in my driving to do it, and at the end of the session there I pieced my lap together quite nicely and didn’t really make any mistakes,” added Stroll.
Lance Stroll acknowledges that to convert this advantage to a win is a huge ask. However, there is a similar weather forecast for the race. In such a situation, it’s anybody’s guess who will win. Rest assured, it is going to be an exciting race at the Istanbul Park
