Lewis Hamilton is more motivated than ever ahead of the 2022 season. The Mercedes driver lost his shot at the 8th world championship last season in Abu Dhabi. Since then, he has made limited media appearances and has not interacted with his fans that much.

But the racing driver and motorsports presenter Naomi Schiff recently revealed that she interviewed the 7-time world champion. And lewis fans might be in for a treat as she mentioned that the interview will air next weekend ahead of the start of the Bahrain Grand Prix.

 

George Russell believes that Lewis Hamilton is a fighter

After being cruelly denied his eighth world championship, Hamilton mentioned that his best in F1 is yet to come. In light of this, George Russell, Hamilton’s new teammate for this season, expressed, “Lewis is a fighter. He’s a racer. His absolute main priority is to be the best version of himself when he hits the track in Bahrain for race one.”

While reflecting on how he would fare against his more established teammate, Russell mentioned Lewis has more experience. But he stated that his approach to driving is different as compared to his teammate and does not plan on changing it this season.

“He’s more experienced than I am. He knows what it takes to be a world champion and he knows what preparation he needs over the course of a pre-season to prepare himself best for that first race. 

Everybody’s different. I’ll have a different approach, probably to Lewis. He’ll have a different approach to another driver, and that’s for all the Formula 1 drivers,” said Russell.

As we have previously witnessed, despite his age, Lewis Hamilton can still be dangerous and lethal with his driving. This became evident as the Mercedes driver set the fastest lap time at the pre-season test in Barcelona after the running of 3 days. This was indeed a warning sign for the rest of the grid. And especially for Red Bull, that the Brit has not lost any pace in the offseason. Considering every controversy that took place at the 2021 season, fans will now keep an eye out for can number 44 as Hamilton will start the beginning of the new season in Bahrain on 20th March.
