There have been far too many speculations around Lewis Hamilton since his controversial championship defeat at Yas Marina earlier in December.

Neither the 7-time world champion nor his team, Mercedes, could believe what had just unfolded in front of their eyes. With just over a lap left in hand, a record eighth title victory looked certain for Hamilton. Then, the stewards decided to add some spice to the race, which led to Max Verstappen winning the championship instead.

Since the Abu Dhabi heartbreak, Hamilton has made no public comments, which has led to many believing that the Briton is planning on retiring from F1. Even Bernie Ecclestone, former F1 boss, fueled the speculation.

The good news is that Wolff has affirmed being in constant touch with Hamilton. Hence, the recently knighted racing driver isn’t necessarily off the radar.
