There have been a few cases where the team had to bring in a new power unit. However, the Silver Arrows would like to understand the problem better, and how to overcome it. Wolff has stated they will look at the engine Bottas used in Italy so that they will not suffer at the Turkish GP.
As quoted from Motorsport.com, Wolff said, “We want to understand how to get more performance from the engine and this has given us some headaches. At the moment, however, we have to think race by race. We must always find the right balance between performance and reliability.”
“Obviously risking a retirement would not be absolutely positive for the championship and neither we nor our rivals can afford to collect zero points in a weekend,” Toto concluded. (Translated from Italian via Google)
