We need to evaluate the situation for the future: Toto Wolff

During the FIA press conference, Wolff mentioned that Lewis has a hand in the decisions regarding the team. He also stated that the situation around Valtteri and Russell is being monitored by the team.

Well, Lewis is part of the team and has always been in the inner circle of decision-making because simply we value his opinion and in the same way when we are talking about drivers there is nothing we are not sharing with him; it’s transparent,” said Wolff.

Will Toto Wolff retain Valtteri Bottas for the 2022 season?

Bottas has struggled in the 2021 season and Hamilton has outperformed him easily in the races. His Mercedes seat is in severe danger from Williams driver George Russell. But Wolff has yet to decide regarding the driver lineup for next season.

“Valterri had some really good weekends, but he also had some off weekends and we just need to minimize those and then we will take a decision and whatever decision we will be taking, Valtteri or George, the person that is involved in that will be hearing that first and that is the driver,” said Wolff on the decision regarding Valtteri’s future.
