The world of Formula 1 and Silverstone circuit is buzzing and not for obvious reasons. Yes, we have witnessed an incredible qualifying session. However, the buzz around the track is for Brad Pitt and his crew, or Apex GP. The 2023 British GP will make the much-awaited F1 movie’s introduction to the world with some on-track filming. The $140 million project will field two cars at the back of the grid at the British GP. However, despite not opposing the idea initially, Toto Wolff has now taken a U-turn on the Lewis Hamilton-backed project.

Fielding two cars at the back of the grid during the all-important race could become a safety issue for the rest of the grid. This was exactly the concern the Mercedes boss reported just 48 hours ago. However, the Austrian has contradicted himself and revealed his contribution to the movie project, because of Hamilton’s involvement as quoted by Motorsport.com.

“We got into this pretty early on, and I think when we had our initial discussions, we sent Brad to a driving school in France and asked him to watch formula cars, starting with F4,” Wolff said.“Then the garages, the pit wall, everything, we tried to help them and give them designs to be as realistic as possible. And now you see, it’s a huge effort. We also tried to help with the narration. Lewis is the executive producer, so he wanted to make sure the movie was as realistic as possible when it came out,” he added.
