Lawrence Stroll has high aspirations, thus he needed a partner with a similar level of commitment to a winning mentality in order to achieve his lofty objectives. Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin have enjoyed a successful track record together so far. The team has improved steadily from last season to the current one as the shiny green team placed seventh last year. This season has won four podiums out of five races. Their consistently convincing performance has raised the team owner’s expectations significantly. And in response to Stroll’s question, “When are we going to win the next one?” It appears that Fernando Alonso and Co. have discovered a technique to avoid their shortcomings at target tracks.

Only Red Bull‘s continuing domination has prevented Aston Martin from taking the top step of the podiums. The shining green team continues to trail the Milton Keynes team by two to three-tenths, and their inability to maintain straight speed lines is the primary factor in their inability to place at the top. However, with their cornering ability, the Silverstone-based squad has been able to keep both Mercedes and Ferrari at bay. The Spaniard has so far taken home four podium finishes, helping the team place second in the Constructors’ Championship.

Lawrence Stroll’s grandiose goals now seem to be a reality thanks to the garage’s positive energy and greater dedication. If we are to hear Stroll’s chat with Mike Krack from the head of Aston Martin himself, Krack reveals Stroll’s question. He said, “He has not been having any delay in telling us ‘when are we going to win the next one!’ Obviously he is happy we made the step but this is not enough for his ambitions. The good thing with Lawrence is you know where you’re standing. He wants more and we will have to deliver more.”

Now, in order to achieve the billionaire’s lofty goals, Fernando Alonso has already identified a few tracks where Aston Martin might claim victory in the upcoming races. Martin Brundle from Sky Sports questioned Alonso about his chance to win a race or two this year, to which he responded, “I think so, yes.”

Alonso added to his claim that the AMR23 can generate speed at the bend to support his idea. He added ” I don’t know. We seem to have a car that is maybe not the fastest on the straights. We need to improve that, but we are very good on the corners. So I would say that the slowest speeds of the championship, let’s say Monaco, Budapest, Singapore. These kind of circuits, I think we put our main hopes at the moment.”

The shiny green team still lags behind the Milton Keynes team by two to three-tenths and their lack of straight speed lines has turned out to be their Achilles heel. It is the main reason behind their failure to reach the top step of podiums.

Alonso hasn’t achieved victory in the highest division of motorsports in ten years. However, mission 33 appears to be attainable this season with consistent effort and fewer mistakes, but for that to happen, an event has to take place. So, what’s that event?

What is the “event” that can help Fernando Alonso take his 33rd victory?

The Aston Martin driver has been competing for 20 years. As a result of this, he has a wealth of expertise. In addition, he keeps a careful eye on what is happening and what is off the rails. The Asturian is aware of how the Red Bull drivers operate, who have been in a tizzy ever since the rules were altered last year.

The 41-year-old is aware of how to take advantage of the unpleasant relationship between Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen. Given that the Austrian team has five 1-2 results in as many races this campaign had, Alonso stated to DAZN how his win depends on terrible fortune befalling Red Bull’s camp.

He said, ” Hopefully a win will arrive, the 33rd that has been talked about so much. But we have to be realistic. We know that the Red Bulls are too far ahead now. But hey, anything can happen. A reliability problem, a touch between them. We know there has been a lot of talk about them having a hot environment, so we will pay attention.”
