“This Yellow Kinda Sucks”: Nostalgic Lewis Hamilton Fans Demand Return of Iconic Gear for Their Idol To Beat Max Verstappen Again

With his distinctive records and unique persona, the F1 legend, Lewis Hamilton, deserves all the attention in the world. We have seen his massive fanbase back him up during tough days and applaud him on the good ones. However, having such a loyal and passionate fanbase also has a different side to it. As the seven-time world champion teased the world with a glimpse of his upcoming helmet, people have been doing gaga over it. However, a lot of them pointed out something that should be changed.

On his Instagram Story, Hamilton posted a photo of his 2023 helmet. It is believed that the gear is to be an official one that the Brit will don in the days to come. With “23” written below, the Mercedes driver gave the ultimate teaser to the fans before they unveil their car on February 15.

The helmet comes in a color of deep purple and fluorescent yellow. Themed with green, red, and blue accents, the helmet has been the talking point on the internet for quite some time now. But many believe this isn’t something they want to see in 2023, as the fans remember Hamilton winning back-to-back races for the Silver Arrows and beating Max Verstappen with a purple helmet in 2021.

Considering how the other teams have developed their cars, one might guess the color of the W14 with the helmet. However, the team has teased the fans a lot with the black livery, the silver one, and also the turquoise from Petronas. Known for breaking the boundaries, now it’s all up to Hamilton to decide upon it.

As things stand, fans want Hamilton to bring back the ‘lucky charm’ purple helmet and get back to winning ways. On a side note, Mercedes are all set to unveil their upcoming 2023 challenger on February 15. Team drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are expected to be present during the event.
