Earlier yesterday, the Alpha Tauri Team Principal Franz Tost announced his retirement from the team. The 67-year-old has been with the team ever since it was bought by Red Bull in 2005 and renamed Toro Rosso from Minardi. In his 18 years of service to the team, Tost has given breakthroughs to many Red Bull drivers, including Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, and Max Verstappen. Franz Tost will leave Alpha Tauri at the end of the current season, with Laurent Mekies from Ferrari set to replace him.
