The Canadian GP hasn’t been a dull affair altogether. Even though the race won’t go down alongside the 2011 version of it, it still has some really good racing action going on. This then becomes the perfect race for Daniel Ricciardo to debut as an F1 pundit/commentator. That’s right, the Honey Badger and Canadian-born Hollywood star, Will Arnett will be hosting an alternate viewing experience at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

On the face of it, this is a very welcome pairing. However, in reality, things don’t seem to be going so well. The sport has made efforts to package the sport as appealing to the American fanbase. That being said, this idea has actually backfired!

The main problem with this unique idea is the fact that Arnett doesn’t seem to be helping the cause. While Ricciardo has authority on the subject matter owing to his 8x race-winner accolade, Ricciardo & Co. have failed to impress the fans.

Fans were really looking forward to the debut of this feature at the Canadian Grand Prix. But as soon as it kicked off, it seemed doomed to failure. Naturally, fans rushed to the social networking site, Twitter, to share their discontent and reactions.

But it isn’t just the quality of the content that has caught the ire of fans. As it turns out, the actual show is not available to stream in Canada! That’s right, the Canadian GP-themed broadcast, cannot be broadcasted in the country.

Other than this, the main point of contention for the fans was the show itself. Ricciardo did a fine job. However, the main villain turned out to be the affable Arnett. The fans really weren’t kind to the Canadian actor.
