Nicholas Latifi has fallen out of favor at Williams, and to go by Gene Haas’ comments, so has Mick Schumacher at Haas. So will the German join Williams next season? Or has the time finally arrived for F2 driver and Williams driver academy member Logan Sargeant?

Nicholas Latifi has only managed 2 points in the season so far. His previous two seasons with Williams haven’t been particularly impressive either. Therefore, an exit was arguably inevitable. Mick Schumacher’s potential exit from Haas is for a whole different reason altogether. While he has only managed 12 points, 10 behind his teammate Kevin Magnussen, his presence on the team has proven costly because of several crashes.

Gene said, “I think Mick has a lot of potential, but you know he costs a fortune, and he’s wrecked a lot of cars that have cost us a lot of money that we just don’t have.”

“If you bring us some points, and you are Verstappen, and you wreck cars, we’ll deal with it. But when you are at the back, and you wreck cars, that’s very difficult,” he continued.
